Writing atmosphere 1
I stared out of my window, seeing a train pass slowly by, hearing birdsong pass through thick windows. I sighed and looked over to the piano, my piano. It wasn’t mine anymore and though the mechanisms which produced such beautiful sound were gone I sat down at the piano seat, worn and rugged and began to play.
Though the instrument produced no sound I could still hear it. My friend, I thought to myself, I wish I could give you something more than just a song in my mind's eye.
The song, which started out melancholic, took a sweet turn. Guiding my fingers, the piano said to me: It does not matter whether I can make a sound, only that you will sit and play me. My only wish is that you will do that.
