Winter Study in an Old House
The grey light that filters through the clouds outside fills your study with a pale light, which is warmed by the orange glow of a flickering fire and many old lamps. At the ancient wooden desk, you can smell the fire in the grate, the soft warmth of pine, and the coldness of the air - maybe more snow is coming. Outside the icy window, the dark shapes of crows are the only birds who brave the leafless branches, other than the doves roosting in the rafters.
