Rooftop Evenings
The sun sets and the night life awakens. Your best friend is laying beside you on the hard, sheet-covered roof. The two of you crack jokes every once in a while and gaze up at the stars that shine between the clouds. A soft wind blows every couple of minutes, shifting the corners of the sheet ever so slightly, while also keeping you cool. It gets late and your eye lids start to feel heavy, but you can't bring yourself to get up and call it a night. You turn gaze to your friend and think that maybe you'll just have to pull an all-nighter. He turns his head and meets your gaze and in that small moment, you both silently agree that that's exactly what your going to do.
