Perched on the Window Seat...
Sitting on the window seat at Number 55, Rue Plumet, you listen to the sounds of a lovely summer day. Papère has already left for the precinct, so it's just you and Papa in the house. Papa passes occasionally upstairs or in the hallway, his footsteps a familiar comfort as he peers around the doorframe to smile at you. The birds are out in droves, carts rattle by in the street, and you sit in the midst of the loveliness with your favorite book perched atop updrawn knees (and Orri the drawing room tiger curled up like a furry cinnamon roll on your feet, of course). Maybe you'll relocate to the setee... eventually.
