Sunday is a long day for the world's oldest couple. George scratches at the journal he's kept for the last two centuries. Maude reads and re-reads the day's newspaper, sifting through articles for information worthy of storing for the next few decades. Their cat, whom both call simply Cat, stares at them and remembers a time when there was a deity made in her image, then returns to licking her butt.
