Early Morning at Tiger Inn
Darkness surrounded her concealing her in a peaceful silence.
Oblivious to the silence and darkness her breathing heavy.
A loud thump cracked though the silence, snapping her out of her slumber.
Her eyes flicked open alert.scanning blindly in the darkness,the outlines becoming clearer.
The dying embers of a fire provided the only light.
stretching out an arm her hand closed around the metal. running her fingers over it until she found the draw pulling it open.
her hand closing round the cold wax of a candle, gently pulling it out striking the wick against the taper.
the flame illuminated her face, bathing the room in a flickering glow.
she lifted up the soft duvet climbing out.
