City Witch
In a cozy little apartment at the heart of a metropolitan center, she practices her craft. Sigils scrawled haphazardly on sticky notes tucked under drink coasters; mismatching glass apothecary jars full to the brim of aromatic herbs and fragrant oils overfilling the tiny kitchen pantry; assortments of crystals lining every stable surface; green plants sprout in the windowsills; shelves stocked with grimoires and books of shadows; candles of every color are lit according to correspondences; the tarot deck sitting next to the honey and lemon tea beckons; sprays are used to cleanse instead of smoke, lest the fire alarm is set off; circles are cast on the cleared floor of the living area; familiars are occasionally known to go missing and then show up unannounced weeks later of their own accord. All the while, the sounds of unerring life fill the city as it passes by outside the window, horns honking at all unholy hours.
