Outside, the wind is blowing the leaves to the ground. Birds still sing, but you hear the geese heading southward. Inside, cup of tea at hand, you are writing -- perhaps a novel, perhaps not -- working things out on paper, with your trusty fountain pen, and then typing them up on your heirloom typewriter.
